About me
Hi, I’m Andrew, welcome to my Learner Driving Centre website. I am a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).
I enjoy driving, working independently and gain immense satisfaction from training other people, passing on my enthusiasm and passions. I want to help train the next generation of people who also want to enjoy driving safely.
I have lived in Bolton for nearly thirty years. My wife, Lynn, is a music teacher and we have three adult sons. Before becoming a driving instructor, I worked in IT for various large corporate companies, including an international IT services provider and the UK government.
I love outdoor activities and adventures, especially paddle sports such as kayaking and canoeing. I’ve been a scout leader for nearly thirty years, teaching young people and adults new life skills. I’m also a British Canoeing Paddlesports Coach and outdoor activities enthusiast. I go kayaking with members of my family as often as possible and I also enjoy watching and playing cricket. I’m also an accredited Duke of Edinburgh Award Expedition Assessor. I have enhanced DBS clearance and a current outdoor activity 1st Aid qualification.
I was encouraged by family and friends to become a driving instructor due to my calm, relaxed and patient approach to instructing and coaching. I completed my instructor training through LDC because they reflected my values and matched my standards. Their client centred “LD System” allows flexibility for all types, so you can learn in a way that suits you. I want everyone to enjoy their learning and be eager for their next lesson.
